As far as the root kit goes. My Windows 10 hard drive sits in the laptop bag and only comes out to tune motorcycles off line from the internet. In linux. It sits in the bios firmware just pounding it's pudd. :p

@Jerry. I received a internal server error when trying your links. On Anti's Links. It would not log me in with my user name and password.
So hence. I threw this inxi readout in this thread. Of course. Everything works. :exclamation:

Gnite, sleep tight.

Thanks. Those links date from before the switchover to the secure mxlinux.org, and for some reason are not being forwarded to the new one now. I will correct them.

I have a question, please?

Why is the MX - ThinkPad Wiki only for MX-14.4 & MX-15 (per the heading)?

I'm running MX-17 on a ThinkPad W520 and everything works - except that it
won't recognize an AOC HDMI external monitor.

It would be cool if the MX ThinkPad Wiki included tables listing what works and
what does not under MX-16 & MX-17.

I'm probably missing something obvious ... but I'd rather ask & look silly than not
ask and wish I had.

Sure appreciate all y'all do - it's a real blessing to those of us with only minutes
to tinker ... and even fewer skills.

Thanks

probably was just never updated.

I also run on a thinkpad. T530. works good. I've had no problems with HDMI monitors though.

It would be cool, but not sure who would do the work. If users are willing to populate this thread with the information, then we could bring that into the Wiki.

Thanks, Gordon. I have detailed info from chrispop99 (IIRC) that I never entered correctly and can send it to you.

If you create a table in LO, just a dummy one, then we can see how well it imports into the Wiki.

Two Lenovo T-520 with no issues running MX-17 both hooked to TV's with a Display Port to HDMI adapter. I guess Lenovo wanted to try to change High Definition port types. :bagoverhead:
