Alt-SysRq REISUB (busier) works in updated MX-15 :-)

For issues with MX that has been modified from the initial install. Example: adding packages that then cause issues.

Yeah!

_____________

re-edit: it works now !
_____________

REISUB works as emergency shutdown in MX. However, some other SysReq features don't give output. Like on vt1,
Print a summary of available magic SysRq keys = SPACE

does not show a summary. Can it be done in Debian / MX ? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_SysRq_key

I was not able to verify this here. shows nothing in xterm or vt1. installed & ran sysrq daemon even.

Doesn't work in MEPIS Linux 12.0 Konsole either. Just turns the cursor from a black rectangle to a hollow black rectangle.

not "Konsole" nor other "terminal emulator app".
I was referring to to linux TTY console (reached from desktop session via Ctrl+Alt+F1 thru F6 keybinds).

you can use /proc/sysrq-trigger that'll work :fox:

like echo M > srq

Okay, it worked in the MEPIS Linux 12 tty console. Gave four lines of text.
