Issue with tooltips (YNAB 4 running in Wine)

Hi all,

hope this is the right place to post this. I'm having an issue with tooltips. I've definitely seen it happen in YNAB 4 (Adobe AIR, running in Wine) - and sure I've seen it happen elsewhere (but can't remember where)

Anyway, all my tooltips look like this:

i.e. the words, letter, punctuation, everything replaced with crossed boxes :(

My gut says font issue, but I can't find anything online about this, so was hoping someone here would be able to point me in the right direction!

Do you have corefonts installed in Wine? I use winetricks to install them.

sudo apt-get install winetricks
winetricks corefonts

This Arch Linux user had the same issue and fixed it with the corefonts installation; probably where Tim saw it:

Hopefully the installer is fixed by now.

I'd still like to know if OP is actually running MX-15...

you would need to know more about the OPs system,
but YNAB 4 does work in ./wine,
not sure about YNAB 3, would have to re-check that one.
- don't recall any issues that are Font related, though,
as it was always more an Adobe file issue, if anything.
