I broke Login Info of MX Welcome

For issues with MX that has been modified from the initial install. Example: adding packages that then cause issues.

I broke Login Info of MX Welcome

#1 Post by Richard »

Hopefully this is the place for this:
I have an MX 15_i386 up-to-date snapshot as of approximately 1700 UTC, 2-July-2016,
on a 32 GB USB2 with Easy2Boot v1.80, just in case it can't be reproduced.

For curiosity I clicked on the Login Info button of the MX Welcome screen after booting,
but the mx-viewer dialog window is completely empty --been that way for about 15 minutes.
So, thought to mention it here in case it is still a problem for MX16.

The About button does work as do the other buttons on MX Welcome.
(well, the Manual button doesn't because I removed it
using Adrians tool: http://forum.mepiscommunity.org/viewtop ... 72#p388436).

Could be that hack affects this also?

Thanks and Regards.

Yes the file that is supposed to be displayed is part of mx-docs. It seems rather unsporting to remove the docs and then complain about missing docs.

Not complaining, just a bit slow in figuring out that was why it didn't work.
Apologies if my question upset you.
Wasn't my intent.

I'm not upset but your title is misleading because it makes it seems like you uncovered a bug in the snapshot program. This drew my attention. We try to respond to bugs quickly. This was a false alarm.

Agreed. It would also help if this were in the right forum ("modified") to which I am going to move it now.
