Perhaps I misunderstood your first post. You mean you are being logged out when you close the browser? We should take this to another thread. Please start one in site help

No what I experience is that I am at this topic and I want to login and reply, the moment I login I loose the topic and I have to find or search in the forum to open and to edit or reply and I ask if is a bug or normal function.

That is normally how the software works. Logging in always returns you to the index page. You are just one of perhaps many random guests viewing the forum when not logged in.

there is nothing wrong in not having your web browser remember your login details.

If I read you correctly instead of searching you can use the history page to find that post, yours is at the bottom of FF
if you use FF keyboard shortcut control key + h (for history) gets you to image

or you can search history too if you know bits of the subject line. I am not suggesting your memory is poor. But sometimes subjects can have similar lines, like
"my network is not working" or "my screen is black" etc

You can also use "Your posts" to segregate those you posted if you are looking for one of them or "Active posts" if it is a recent post. If you set your Board preferences for posts to be ordered descending the latest ones will show first.

EDIT: aus9's method is a good tip, very direct and can also be used in Google Chrome.

That's interesting. I'll try try that when if I get dropped back at the login screen. :)

When I read the forum via Chrome on Android, I'm always logged in -today, tomorrow or next week.

Using Slimjet, even though I check Remember Me every day at boot, I have to give the password after closing without logging out.

I do prefer Slimjet over Chrome; however, I'm learning to like Vivaldi. Even though I have to login, Vivaldi does remember both login and password on my desktop.

All of my Browsers are set to open where I was when I closed them. Or restarted the system.
Yes, even I am dishonest. Not in many ways, but in some. Forty-one, I think it is.

Slimjet seems to be the only browser that will not honor "Remember me"?

Perhaps I've overlooked some setting. Seems to remember unless I have no activity
in the forum for a few hours, then I have to login again -which seems to come
from the forum software?
