Re: Calling for submissions - MX17 wallpapers

OK, this is just a suggestion, But, here goes: I think anti-x and MX are mature distros in the sense that they are quite recognizable in the Linux OS community. Given that rather lofty status, I wonder if its time to consider things like branding. When it comes to artwork / wallpaper (at least the d...

I think I'll stay put on MX-16 unless I get a newer laptop. I suspect my older machines wouldn't see much benefit.

Re: How many people using Windows 10 in here?

Win 10 on the wife's machine. The kids spend more time on Apple / Android devices but use her PC on occasion. My employer is Win only for end users, but we're still on Win 7.

Re: SUGGESTION: replace Xfburn with K3b

Basero has a history of "bugginess". I've used it sparingly given prior poor experiences and it still works rather sporadically for me. Your mileage may vary.

Re: SUGGESTION: replace Xfburn with K3b

I'd also suggest leaving xfburn as the default burning app, and also installed K3B from the repos. Seems likely that fewer folks are burning CD's and DVD's these days, but for those that do, its great to have the option of installing K3B.

Re: No Network Applet in KDE

For the record, I typically do try to search the forum and Google search before I post a question. I'm sorry to bother you with such an apparently mundane question Jerry, but I couldn't find the right answer.

Thanks for the pointer, Tim.

No Network Applet in KDE

Running MX-15 with KDE installed using the MX Installer. How do I install the network applet? It doesn't seem to be an option in the list of applets. Thanks!
