Most of the time people use their browser to download files, me too. But when I have trouble or something I download all the time, I open a terminal and use Wget. Check this out.

hmm.... its supposed to save that back into the xfconf system, but it looks like its not working. will look into it. the save button saves the current software brightness setting. othwerise use the Xfce Display utility. they use the same settings back end. On MX19 it does save it but on my computer...
