OK, it's in Sid, but has some changes having to to with the new t64 type libraries. I think I can revert those, though.

As a test, you could try booting a live USB of MX23-KDE, just to show that it should work out of the box with those Intel graphics on your Optimus hybrid graphics laptop. Let me know if it works. I had to cut out a step from the way Mint had it building which was causing it to fail, but our builds seem to have automatically done that step anyway. I installed it, and it showed up in the menu and ran, but I don't have anything else on the network...maybe my phone?

That points out some of the risks in following random instructions meant for other distros, especially without backing up.
