Hey golden45, could you also try typing only
load=pata-via
at the boot menu screen. It would really help to see if this was the missing module.

1. At boot grub, type bp=2
2. Press Enter/Return
3. At the prompt, type load-live-modules
4. Type exit

Just checked chrome version it is 30.0.1599.114 and it works great,thanks for info .johnI have also tried the beta comming up and it also works great
