As an Admin wrote here a couple of days ago, MX 18 is good until at least 2022, so roughly another three years of full support. No need to rush.

I had to do apt-get update, apt upgrade and than apt-dist-upgrade in the xfce-Terminal sudo apt update ; sudo apt dist-upgrade -y Das mit dem sudo hatte ich heute morgen schon gemacht, nur nicht erwähnt. I once tried the" back door stuff" in Somerset, UK, the stuff that the locals drank. Fire water or what! It's the only time I lost consciousness and became totally paralytic, even not knowing what I was doing. That was after just two pints of it!
