I have tried it and installed kernel 14.1 rc on mx 16.I I like playing and trying different things as I have lots of time.I would not try any if you don't have time. I can reinstall mx 16.1 at anytime.This was posted using the new kernel.Still don't know what packages are affected? Still expermentin...

Ukuu deb download has to installed with gdebi ukuu_17.2.3~77~ubuntu17.10.1_amd64.deb

Has anybody used ukuu to install new kernels?I see a deb package is available and was wondering if anyone has tried it.Thanks john

Have used reposository sources cr list on many other distros such as mint xbuntu solydk .It always complains no keyring but still has all the updated packages and you can install them .Great job to all developers.I'm impressed and know this is the way to go in future of linux in genaral.

answer to JimC hi still running kubuntu and it just keeps getting better and better. It look great and is getting easier to use kunbuntu 5.1.95 now thanks john

home run --right click on desktop -- configure desktop is also available and am using it with the siduction install I have done last night--I think this can be used instead of search and launch.john
