Hmmm---I don't think it should. I thought hal was deprecated quite a while ago. There is a newer sound-juicer upstream in Debian that could be backported.

Just uploaded it. I also needed to backport a new doxygen (some kind of thing that creates documentation) this time to fix a build failure related to its man pages.

Well, I guess the latest lsp-plugins 1.2.15 and qtractor 0.9.39 are still in the test repo, but they can be automatic updates if moved to main.

Tim actually had finished backporting it before I had hacked my way into getting it to build on older MX releases, so those are his packages. Thanks for the test!

OK, it's in Sid, but has some changes having to to with the new t64 type libraries. I think I can revert those, though.

As a test, you could try booting a live USB of MX23-KDE, just to show that it should work out of the box with those Intel graphics on your Optimus hybrid graphics laptop. The Live sessions are sysvinit-only. Stevo, is there any reason you want me to test out booting a live USB with KDE, and not boo...

Let me know if it works. I had to cut out a step from the way Mint had it building which was causing it to fail, but our builds seem to have automatically done that step anyway. I installed it, and it showed up in the menu and ran, but I don't have anything else on the network...maybe my phone?

That points out some of the risks in following random instructions meant for other distros, especially without backing up.

Exactly what was the issue you were trying to fix? Was your BT mouse not connecting at boot? As a data point, my super cheap Amazon BT mouse does...
