I tend to use a killfile very sparingly. If you killfile everybody that ticks you off, you'll soon be staring at an empty newsgroup. If you use a HTML5 capable browser (such as Google Chrome) you can use Youtube without flash: http://www.youtube.com/html5

It works OKish, no full screen and the image is pixelated when enlarged, but in standard view works great and is less resource intensive (great solution for netbooks)
