Re: Setting up Proton free VPN?
Using MXPI I installed protonvpn-cli from the MX 21 test repo. I have a Proton Mail account and used that to sign up for the free VPN service. However, I get the following w/ or w/o sudo. $ protonvpn-cli login <username> protonvpn-cli: command not found $ apt list --installed shows that protonvpn-cl...

Re: Setting up Proton free VPN?
Thanks for the replies, guys. Is it much more difficult for a cli novice to navigate a VPN using the terminal vs using an app? I notice, for example, that Nord VPN only offers a cli interface under Linux. [By the way, I don't have a problem with using systemd. I'm not sure yet, but my printer may co...

Re: Idea for more help with help [Solved]
The manual is also in Whisker. If the word "help" was added to it's description you would have seen it. I think Jakob77 has a good, uncomplicated answer. I would just change Jakob77's suggestion slightly. MX Welcome is in the Whisker Menu. If the description/comment is changed from "...

Re: 21.3 Xfce clock on top right of desktop w monitor - how change? [Solved]
In the Whisker Menu of Xfce there are three apps that manage Conky files. 1. Conky Toggle - makes the current Conky visible (on) or invisible (off). 2. Conky Manager - a "Utility for managing Conky configuration files". 3. MX Conky - "This app enables detailed changes to the active co...

Re: MX-23 beta 1 feedback thread
iDeviceMounter doesn't work for the two iPhones I tested: a 7 Plus on iOS 15.7.6 and a SE 2020 on 16.5. I was running MX-23 beta-1 live. That said, I can't get iDeviceMounter to work on MX21.3 or MX19.4 either. On 19.4 the iName and UUID boxes populate but the Mount button has no effect. On 23 beta ...

Re: iDeviceMounter working OK for others?
Well .... sometimes I go too far. I wanted to find out if the newer iDeviceMounter was the problem so I could report back here. I installed the newer version 0.1.5.13 from the Test Repo of MX 19.4 and I could not mount my iPhone with that version. However, after uninstalling iDeviceMounter 0.1.5.13 ...
