Re: "stable" Chrome may segfault i386 Debian stable - e.g. M

If you haven't run an "apt-get clean" you probably still have the older version in /var/cache/apt/archives ... I guess I had a case of bad timing. About an hour or two before the original post in this thread, I ran "apt-get clean" to free up some space, so I had to do a search t...

Re: "stable" Chrome may segfault i386 Debian stable - e.g. M

If you haven't run an "apt-get clean" you probably still have the older version in /var/cache/apt/archives

So running this command as root should solve the problem:

Code: Select all

dpkg -i /var/cache/apt/archives/google-chrome-stable_37.0.2062.120-1_i386.deb

Re: MX is slow after lqast update

Is compositing turned on? You might need to turn it off. From Settings -> Windows Manager Tweaks -> Compositor tab.

Re: MX-14.2 downloads

It's interesting how flat the line is, it would be a great opportunity to see what's the effect of a distrowatch announcement or review. BTW, I still want to get "MX Linux" as a separate distro on distrowatch, it's way too different than antiX, it uses different sources, to be considered a...

Re: MX Find Shares

One suggestion, not sure how is going to look though, since this page is displayed when you press "Help" buttons on MX apps, it would be nice to have at the end of each section a link to the appropriate support forum for each app (under License, "For more help, please see the [support...

Thanks for the offer! "mx-user" app has also some strings that needs to be translated.

Again, wait for PM with the instructions, we don't have all the details just yet.

Re: Want to be the Translation Manager?

Just some comments, it won't even be couple of hours a week, we don't update language in the MX utilities that frequent. Also, this is fairly a non technical task, it just requires only knowing how to upload and download some files, if you need to use some specific tools you'll get the detailed comm...
