Re: Firefox or Chromium browser runs extremely slow recently
It was only for troubleshooting purposes. Aren't you interested if systemd solves your problem even if you never intend to use it? The thing about any Linux distro is that you can't just use it and expect *everything* to work unless you are willing to troubleshoot even if that ultimately leads to no...

Re: Firefox or Chromium browser runs extremely slow recently
I would recommend those having problems to try to boot with systemd, even if you don't like systemd. It is a reference and we lack hard numbers. You can boot with systemd one time from Advanced options in GRUB menu. If you want to stay with systemd you can use MX Boot Options to set it as default bo...

Re: Android Phone no longer connects..? [Solved]
mtp is an old protocol, because things must change... If you have Android 9, 10 or 11, I suggest to put your phone in developer mode (Google is your friend here) and then reboot the phone. Then connect it to your PC and use the Android "File transfer" option. Keep in mind that developer mo...

Re: Firefox or Chromium browser runs extremely slow recently
Over the past several weeks, I've been noticing a trend where my browsers become increasingly latent: Pages sort of "hang" for a long time loading, totally blank new tabs (opened from links in other tabs), gruelling long refresh times, etc. Browsers include firefox and chromium. I will sa...

Re: Google Chrome too big on my monitors
Happens to me as well since the I think previous-to-last update (I think it was from version 93 to 94, but don't quote me on that). I switched the title bar design from Chrome to the system style in the chrome settings as a workaround. Currently running 95.0.4638.69 with the two add-ons Bookmark Si...

Re: Google Chrome too big on my monitors
Maybe you haven't updated Chrome to latest version? It was a known problem, but I think it has been fixed.

Muon package manager has apt history for all packages installed with terminal, Synaptic and Muon. Only GDebi isn't loved by Muon.
Even better, you can display history sorted by installed, removed and updated packages. So pretty impressed with Muon so far.

Re: installing Thunar 4.17
Install the experimental repo that the MX devs created in Dec 2020 for MX19 users to test xfce 4.16. That repo stopped working several months ago so not possible to add it. I think the key was removed since it was a temp(orary) repo. Thank you for mention the xfce-4.16-for-devs-method. However this...

Run the below command to display all the user-installed packages since installation. It is based on dpkg-query. comm -23 <(apt-mark showmanual | sed 's/[: \t].*$//' | sort -u) <( { sed 's/[: \t].*$//' /usr/share/antiX/installed-packages.txt ; dpkg-query -W -f '${Depends}\n' | sed 's/([^)]*)//g; s/ ...
