The log should be fixed in the last version in the repo. Could you please test this build to see if I fixed the umask issue for you? What it does it sets umask to 022 before it runs the mksquashfs command. It works fine for me, if you confirm I will send it up to the repo. https://build.opensuse.org...

Thanks, I will take a look, log issue should be easily fixed once I figure out what I broke, the issue with umask is a bit more complex, one workaround would be to run mx-snapshot as root, that's the main thing that changed between version I stopped running the entire app as root and run only some s...

If you want to run the command as root automatically at boot time you can add it to /etc/rc.local
If you just want to run it without having to type the password you can also add it to sudoers file (use visudo command, you should see some examples in that file)

I think that mx23 package was added by mistake to the repo at that time.

If the package has a "mx23" at then end it should not be installed on Bullseye...
