@j2mcgreg I am probably being thick (and also not a user of OneDrive AFAIK) but what has your @gmail.com (ie Google) account to do with MS?
Or put differently how does MS know that your @gmail.com account has been unused for two years?

What are the first apps you install after installing a new version of MX?
(Mods... if this is deemed to be more appropriate for Chat or somewhere else, please move.) Here are my top ten, in the order of importance and also mostly in the order I install them: 1. zsh (to replace bash; all local initialisations after boot are done by a set of zsh scripts that are run when th...

Re: Bleachbit 4.6.0 sysvinit errors, systemd no errors
Another possibility for the "curious or impatient" :exclamation: is to download Stevo 's .debs above, install the right .deb (I did so for MX23) and delete the following lines (39-45 in the MX23 version) in /usr/share/bleachbit/bleachbit.py: if ( bleachbit.Unix.is_display_protocol_wayland_...

Re: Keyboard typing wrong characters
The keyboard is behaving the same in all OS's installed on my system i-e Debian 12. Linux MX, Manjaro, and Windows. This looks like a hardware problem, not a software thing. I had something similar with a 2nd-hand Toshiba R940 laptop. A couple of youtube videos showed how to remove, check and clean...

Re: Requesting update file for PATH (21.3 Wildflower Xfce)
CharlesV Full ACK. If somebody knows enough to create and use a ~/bin, they also can take care of adding it to $PATH wherever they think it fits. (As it happens I do have a ~/bin and I have added it to the front of my $PATH, not least because some commands in /usr/bin and elsewhere need some "...

Re: Requesting update file for PATH (21.3 Wildflower Xfce)
Additionally, whatever a system update puts onto my system, I strongly object to putting stuff willy-nilly into my ~/.config directory. Doing this would mean getting onto a very slippery slope. Or as any Englishman will tell you, my $HOME is my castle! I think we have to trust the developers to put...

Re: Scary time: You are in emergency mode
@thomasl I wanted to use that shortcut which I read about in the MX Users Manual, but I couldn't remember the exact key sequence. Anyway, I don't have a SysRq key on my keyboard. Is it the Scroll Lock key or the "Pause/Break" key? I'll have to try it Yeah, on some laptops I had a hard tim...

Re: Scary time: You are in emergency mode
andymx If this (or similar) happens again, try the following: 1. Press Alt, then SysRq. 2. Release SysRq but keep Alt pressed. 3. Type the six characters r e i s u b in that order, leaving a sec or two between individual keypresses. If you're lucky, the system will shutdown in a somewhat orderly ma...

Re: Requesting update file for PATH (21.3 Wildflower Xfce)
If it is compatible with MX I think all users without a file like this ought to receive it automatically in an update: I agree with Eadwine Rose 's take on that. ~/.config/xfce4/xinitrc Additionally, whatever a system update puts onto my system, I strongly object to putting stuff willy-nilly into m...
