Re: MX 17/18 Repository: The Strawberry Music Player Thread

Liking this player a lot so far. All I want is a player - I'm not interested in having it connect to anybody else cuz I have all the tunes I'm interested in and I gave up on radio years ago, when "Album Rock" and stuff died. No bloat on this one. Next step is to try it on another box One o...

Re: MX 17 Repository: The Timeshift Thread

After a couple of years with Timeshift in Linux Mint, I feel I'm forced to point out that "Systemback" works better.

Re: MX 17/18 Repository: The Strawberry Music Player Thread

I got this error trying to install in MX-18, and it appears that something has removed my sources list.

How do I upload an image?

Every place on the internet is different, it seems, or I'm too thick to figure it out. The how to here just tells me what extensions are allowed... but neither drag-and-drop nor trying to paste it in worked for me. Can someone take pity and step me through? (The suppliers of these forums need to re-...

Re: To auto-connect to your VPN, and ONLY your VPN

I've managed to avoid needing a smartphone, and stayed GAFA free. I use multiple emails, and multiple browsers configured differently. VBox for some things.
I'm also retired and have lots of time, and doing all this is huge fun.

There's a program called "Etcher" that might help you.

Nope.
Crashed my system. Every which way.
Will be leaving Brave alone for a while.

Re: Brave browser

Thanks, but neither works here. The first is blocked by sandbox issues, and this one gives this sudo apt update E: Malformed entry 1 in list file /etc/apt/sources.list.d/brave-browser-release-stretch.list (Component) E: The list of sources could not be read. Too much for me. Try again at a later date.
