I always set the hardware backlight setting to 29 when I'm using my laptop - it reduces eye strain and increases battery life.
Would it be possible to save this setting along with software brightness as the hardware backlight setting has to be manually reset after every boot.

Re: Suggestion for desktop manager
Thanks for the info. I would never have guessed that the solution to the missing directory lay behind 'other' - it is far from obvious.

Suggestion for desktop manager
I downloaded a wallpaper last night and decided it was a keeper. I wanted to put it in the backgrounds directory, but I found it a struggle to locate. Bug in Compton?
I was tinkering with the display settings a few days ago. I changed the rendering backend from X Render to OpenGL [Tweak - Compositor - Compton Settings - Other - GLX]. Re: Distrowatch review grumbles
I had some serious health problems which landed me in hospital for months.
I'm now in a respite home and using MX on an old laptop, that's how I came across the issue.
I'm hoping to escape the respite home in the near future.

Re: Pale Moon dark tweak
I downloaded the package from the test repo and set the launcher as described. When I restarted the browser the problem still existed :bawling: I was testing some software yesterday and it locked up my PC, thus forcing me to reboot. When I fired up Pale Moon I found the problem was resolved. Thanks....
