Actually there is a simpler way to re-generate a grub-menu with having both menu entries. With the "Boot Rescue Menu" from the LiveUSB, you would probaly be able to login into the encrypted MX-19.3 install, and then you could re-generate the grub-menu either with using MX Boot Options, or ...

Try this: Boot from MX LiveUSB. On the LiveBoot Menu select Switch to Grub Menu. Next select Boot Rescue Menu and choose -> Search for Grub Loader //or -> Seach for GRUB Menu See whether you can boot into the encrypted install with the found ones.
