Re: Chainloading second installation of MX on a different drive [Solved]
Create menu entries for installed LUKS encrypted MX Linux installations TLDR; Use custom.cfg instead of 40_custom. A: Create a boot menuentry to boot linux directly on the other encrypted install -> Boot into the one encrypted install -> Mount the other 'boot' partition and open terminal within /gru...

Re: encrypted MX-19.3 disappeared after installation of MX-19.4ahs
Actually there is a simpler way to re-generate a grub-menu with having both menu entries. With the "Boot Rescue Menu" from the LiveUSB, you would probaly be able to login into the encrypted MX-19.3 install, and then you could re-generate the grub-menu either with using MX Boot Options, or ...

Re: encrypted MX-19.3 disappeared after installation of MX-19.4ahs
Try this: Boot from MX LiveUSB. On the LiveBoot Menu select Switch to Grub Menu. Next select Boot Rescue Menu and choose -> Search for Grub Loader //or -> Seach for GRUB Menu See whether you can boot into the encrypted install with the found ones. If yes, it's just a matter of creating a custom.cfg ...

Re: MX-14-386 Persistent refusal to install Grub on older machines at end of install routine.
Most machines based on Athlon A2200, various AGP cards (mostly ATI), older hard discs in verified good order ~40Gb- 150Gb. Installation from DVD completes every time, no messages until it completes with "Failed to install Grub - use live DVD...." It's a nuisance; none of the attempts to (...

Re: Differential scaling per display (laptop vs external monitor) in KDE
As mentioned in post #4 setting resolution per monitor is already working in Kde, tested with a HIDPI and normal monitor. This was the workaround asked for in post #1. Not sure what OP is still looking for.

Re: Tuxedo Control Center and SysVInit [Solved]
Is it still just the one piece mentioned in e.g. post #10 you need for getting the "Tuxedo Control Center" running in Sysvinit? If yes, we can do it just as we do now for other "3rd party" populare apps, where we now use sysd2v converter. FWIW, sysd2v script is now available come...

Re: One antiX kernel uninstallable [Solved]
Now the problem seems to be that the antix-key has expired. When I do 'apt-key list' I get /etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/antix-archive-keyring.gpg ------------------------------------------------ pub rsa2048 2013-03-13 [SC] [expired: 2021-05-01] ED57 48AC 0E57 5DD2 49A5 6B84 DB36 CDF3 452F 0C20 uid [ expi...
