Re: 'nwg-look', very good tool.

I think the OP needs first to learn how to install and apply new gtk themes the normal way, as already explained by manyroads in the other thread. https://forum.mxlinux.org/viewtopic.php?p=769357#p769357 That is the solution to how to change OP's theme to Flat-Remix-Gtk, instead of trying to build t...

Re: Document Scanner asking for root pw [Solved]

Am I the only one seeing this or has it been seen before? I did a search but didn't see any relevant results. I'm the only user on this machine and my user acct is in the scanners group so I don't see why this would be coming up, unless it's something connected to my recent kernel upgrade. If anyon...

Re: MX-Linux doesn't see Arch Linux in grub [Solved]

Thank you, too for the feedback. In the meantime I just remembered it wrong, as if there was such a file ootb , just empty, so you did well creating it, also you did well creating with exactly that name, cause it's defined so in another place (/etc/grub.d/41_custom) (to be scanned and added), say C...

Re: MX-Linux doesn't see Arch Linux in grub [Solved]

Previously Arch and Manjaro grub menu entries needed extra text on the initrd line to deal with how they loaded microcode. Often, other distro's grub would not pick up on that and generate grub entries for Arch without the extra text. Last time, fehlix sorted out MX's grub so it would generate the n...

Re: How change selection colors on themes?

If you like try it the same way on non-MX themes, it may work. Once there was a similar thread and I remember @dolphin_oracle and/or @asqwerth said editing these won't be enough, something more needed (specifically for MX-comfort theme(s) ) (When it was gtk2 I used to do it that way, say, modifying...

Re: MX Snapshot how does it work

However, if your new hardware is so new that it needs the latest kernel (I assume the MX on your old hardware is using the standard kernel), you may need to install the latest AHS or Liquorix kernel on your old system (even if you aren't going to use it there), then make your snapshot iso (also assu...

Re: A weird situation....

Appimages are not 100% guaranteed to work as is. They only get packed with whatever libraries and dependencies that the dev THINKS is needed to work for various distros, so some libraries may have been overlooked. If the dev was creating the appimage on the latest Ubuntu for instance, maybe some lib...

Re: New Forum Image Function

For those who use Imgur, just add the small letter "m" at the end of the filename in the imgur link, so that the pic as displayed on the forum is resized to "medium", which should comply with the forum's size requirements.

Re: QSI on XFCE Slightly Off [Solved]

If the helpers want to know when my system was made-- I would think, "Unless I'm Wrong..." (name that movie ;) )-- that they should look (in QSI) at the date that occurs after the word "Distro", which is under the heading "System", which in this (KDE) instance, was: Oc...
