Re: Live USB Snapshot MX x64 October 2017 No Wifi Detected

I'm shutting down the 3E, and then putting the usb into my CF-53 so that persistence works. I'll comment out the brcm80211 driver, but I have a question. If it conflicts with wl, how do I comment out wl so there are no conflicts? Commenting out the brcm80211 blacklist entry probably won't do anythi...

Re: Live USB Snapshot MX x64 October 2017 No Wifi Detected

Can you post a screenshot of this: inxi -Fxz @uncndl1, could you also post a screenshot of the output of this: lspci -vnn | grep 0200 | grep 14e4 -i With that we might be able to make some changes to the BroadcomStatrtup script to detect your broadcom wireless device and get the right combination o...

Re: Live USB Snapshot MX x64 October 2017 No Wifi Detected

It should look something like this # wl module from Broadcom conflicts with the following modules: blacklist b43 blacklist b43legacy blacklist b44 blacklist bcma #blacklist brcm80211 #blacklist brcmsmac blacklist ssb blacklist wl The # tells it to skip that item in the blacklist. The bcma blacklist...

Re: Live USB Snapshot MX x64 October 2017 No Wifi Detected

Putting into Terminal the code: modprobe brcm80211 shows: modprobe: FATAL: Module brcm80211 not found It's probably brcmsmac instead of brcm80211. https://wiki.debian.org/brcm80211 brcmsmac (brcm80211 prior to Linux 2.6.39) is a free and open source mac80211 driver, introduced in Linux 2.6.37. ... ...

Re: Errors Running Updates

Try one of the methods shown here: viewtopic.php?p=409670#p409670

@Jerry, IIRC checkaptgpg won't fix KEYEXPIRED type errors.

Re: adobe flash updates, 404 not found

I think I found the latest debs here: http://mxrepo.com/mx/repo/pool/non-free/a/adobe-flashplugin/adobe-flashplugin/

They're in a redundant adobe-flashplugin folder, supposed to be in the parent directory.

Re: Cannot get MX16, MX15, or AntiX to work

...but the installer died after after the system was loaded. I never got to install the boot loader or put in any passwords. Tried it twice, but to no avail. Then I tried the latest version of MX15 and everything seemed to go well. However, when I tried booting off the hard drive, MX15 would not ac...

Re: MX and AMD RX460 Graphics Card

The 4.7.0-0.bpo.1-amd64 kernel's radeon module doesn't support your RX460 (67ef) device, that's the reason the radeon driver is shown as unloaded. Try installing the xserver-xorg-video-amdgpu package and then logout of Xfce4 and then log back in (or reboot) , it should then be using the amdgpu driver.
