Alt+F4 usually works for me, though some keyboards need Fn+Alt+F4. On the Xfce desktop that brings up the screen for Exit Options and you would probably need to tab twice to select Shutdown before hitting enter.

I can't tell you which one to try, but likely @Stevo can get you oriented correctly.
