There is an eject button in the lower right corner for me on my horizontal bar (I believe it is yad, but don't quote me on it lol I am glad my stuff just works ;) ), in the systray anyway. Is everything from the reader closed? As in no thunar open or something else open showing its content. So basically, click on Documents or something else, and then right click on the thing.
