MX currently. OS/2 in the past - far superior to the early Windows versions. It also had the best word processor I've used - DeScribe, later ported to Windows and I went on using it until about 2000.

Thunar has this function. Just select all files in a folder, enter _ in the Search field and - in the Replace field. The right hand pane shows the results before you commit. I've used this to do complex renaming of hundreds of files. It's sensible to have a backup in case of errors.

The only program I can find to open it is Master PDF Editor. A couple of versions are in MX Package Installer - I'm using Master PDF Editor 4 (free version).

Installed and working fine here. Just the one longstanding problem - the calendar will not print in colour.

I take the opposite route and have only root & data partitions. All my data folders are symlinked to folders in /home.

I have a simple Sony external USB floppy drive from 2006 an still have my WordPerfect 5.1+ installation disks. MX-21 AHS with the 5.16 kernel mounts and opens text files no problem. A WordPerfect text file opens correctly in LibreOffice. QSI in case there's something special about my 1-year old mach...
