Re: libqtwebkit 2.3 -- how difficult?

Been having trouble getting qtwebkit built on 64bit. Went back to 32bit and built plugins. Built fine after one minor tweak, but still no spellcheck. Then rebuilt qupzilla against the new qtwebkit and spellcheck is now working. Back to the 64 bit dev partition to uninstall the nvidia driver & re...

Re: libqtwebkit 2.3 -- how difficult?

OK, it finally finished building on 32bit, and I'm running Qupzilla with it right now so it's compatible. But I still don't see any way to spell check. I might have to rebuild Qupzilla with the Hunspell dev files installed to enable it. I'll build the 64bit qtwebkit tomorrow then try a Qupzilla rebu...

Re: libqtwebkit 2.3 -- how difficult?

Only way to find out is to try to build it, which I'm doing now from Ubuntu sources.
I'll let you know in a bit whether it completed successfully.

Re: No sound and my volume icon is missing.

Found hardware: "CX2341[56]" "" "" "" ""... The CX23415 & CX23416 chips are normally found in TV adapters, not in sound cards. I suspect that you don't have the firmware installed for your TV card so it's not being seen correctly. I would try in...

Scheduled outage of the Community Repositories

Scheduled maintenance on the server hosting the Community Repositories will result in an outage of approximately 30 minutes sometime between 0300 & 1100 UTC Feb 14 (10pm -> 6am EST).
So don't panic  . They'll be back before you know it.

Re: Network manager doesn't work correctly after testing cen

Yes we should, but you couldn't get the install to finish in your chroot when you tried during the alpha 2 cycle. The -dkms package does an update-initramfs that I think was the issue.

Re: Network manager doesn't work correctly after testing cen

I'm glad it worked. I need that driver for my Lenovo which is why it's in the default repos.
I didn't realize you had a wired connection or I would have had you install that file with Synaptic. Since you were posting from Windows I assumed you would download the file in Windows.

Re: Network manager doesn't work correctly after testing cen

I did a little research and it looks like you need the broadcom-sta driver (aka the wl module) go to http://teharris.net/mepiscr/xfce/pool/main/b/broadcom-sta/ and download the broadcom-sta-dkms _6.30.223.141-1_all.deb file Boot into MX-14 and click on that file to install the driver. Reboot and the...

Re: minitube

I have smtube running in beta1 here. It wouldn't play at first, but then prompted for a Youtube config upgrade. When accepted it updated the config & it worked.
