Re: Monthly snapshot announcement

I did all of that, didn't help.
Since other distros (Debian 9, Mageia 6, Ubuntu (16, 18) Fedora 28) worked for me in UEFI, I guess the only right way is to experiment with ISO modifications.
I never did that with Linux so will gladly get some help.

Re: Monthly snapshot announcement

I wonder what is wrong with UEFI on Monthly Snapshots. I just unable to boot it (no error, just returns to BIOS boot selector. Tried it on HP 450 G3 & MacBook Pro 2014.
Original release works with both, Snapshot only works with HP on legacy mode.

Re: Tips and Tricks from the Xfce Forum

I guess info about plugin icon sizes needs to be added A comment on this: nothing *needs* to be added. It's editor's choice all the way, and there is exactly 1 editor for that file ATM. It would be great if others like you who peruse the Xfce Forum regularly could post suggestions here to add to th...

Re: Tips and Tricks from the Xfce Forum

I guess info about plugin icon sizes needs to be added some of those icons are from gtk3 panel plugins. In that case, you have options. Add the following to ~/.config/gtk-3.0/gtk.css: For the power manager: #xfce4-power-manager-plugin { padding: 2px; } For the pulseaudio plugin: #pulseaudio-button {...

Re: [BUG] Add packages for proper VPN support

Just tried Live in VirtualBox. Only OpenVPN opens dialog, PPTP and VPNC complains about plugin.
P.S. No wonder, network-manager-openvpn-gnome is installed unlike the other two.

[BUG] Add packages for proper VPN support

MX17 has network-manager plugins installed but user can't add/configure new VPN connections through "nm-connection-editor". He needs to add GNOME plugins (e.g. network-manager-pptp-gnome, network-manager-openvpn-gnome...) which isn't even obvious (looking at filenames like libnm-vpn-plugin...

Re: Suggestions on improving MX

5) Get rid of some Thunar custom actions. custom action these 2: Open as Root, Edit as Root, are must-haves. Speaking of "Edit as Root" there's more safe and future/Wayland-proof solution (see KDE developer post ) with sudoedit. You can try it in terminal export VISUAL=featherpad sudoedit...

Suggestions on improving MX

Hello everyone. MX is a very good distro nowadays but I still have a few pretty major wishes for improvement. Please take them as constructive criticism from a user who would like to have strong alternative to the "well-known-Debian-fork". 1) Stick to the latest LTS kernel (for security an...
