Re: Display PopUp always pops up
That is what I thought should happen, but it didn't. And the advanced options only show kernel 6.0.0. Here is: Snapshot created on: 20230409_1907 System: Kernel: 6.0.0-6mx-amd64 [6.0.12-1~mx21+1] x86_64 bits: 64 compiler: gcc v: 10.2.1 parameters: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-6.0.0-6mx-amd64 root=UUID=<...

Re: Display PopUp always pops up
I installed 6.1 using the MX package installer. How do I change to use the later kernel? I do have a swap file. Here is my fstab file: # /etc/fstab: static file system information. # # <file system> <mount point> <type> <options> <dump> <pass> #Entry for /dev/sdb2 : UUID=fe556b1b-9154-4f0f-adc5-eddd...

Re: Mail merge with LibreOffice Writer
That is what I saw and used. But it only showed names, addresses, title, gender - all information that would be used in the start of a letter and meant to be part of a heading or address block. There was nothing about being able to add information into the main body of a letter. If that is all you c...

Mail merge with LibreOffice Writer - Solved
I need to merge some information into a letter. I saw how to add names and addresses to the letter, pretty easy. But each person has three pieces of information that are particular to them and that needs to be included in the main body of the letter. I did not see anything about adding information l...

Display PopUp always pops up
Whenever the monitor goes screen saver mode and then I wake it, the Display popup pops up. It shows my monitor and the settings and I click on Apply. But the same thing keeps happening. How do I set things up so it doesn't keep popping up? Snapshot created on: 20230409_1907 System: Kernel: 6.0.0-6mx...

Re: I cannot add addresses to KAddressBook
Well that is weird. Thank you finding that tip. I did a restart and the addresses were there from importing them.

Re: I cannot add addresses to KAddressBook
I have been using KDE PIM for a long long time and I can usually export the information when I upgrade then import the information after installing the OS upgrade and just keep on going. A long time ago there was a hiccup and something didn't work. It was long enough ago that I don't remember which ...

Re: I cannot add addresses to KAddressBook
I am sorry but I didn't think it would be necessary for this question, but here it is: Snapshot created on: 20230409_1907 System: Kernel: 6.0.0-6mx-amd64 [6.0.12-1~mx21+1] x86_64 bits: 64 compiler: gcc v: 10.2.1 parameters: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-6.0.0-6mx-amd64 root=UUID=<filter> ro quiet splash ...

I cannot add addresses to KAddressBook - Solved
I went from MX19 to MX21 - everything is OK except I cannot import the .vcf file I exported from KAddressBook in Mx19 into KAddressBook in MX21. It asks about importing and I point it to the .vcf file but nothing gets imported. If I right click on the .vcf file, thee is an option to open it with KAd...

Re: KDE calendar woes
I am not sure what I did but the file permissions were OK. But I must have changed something. Anyway I was in the middle of going up to MX-21.3 on another partition and the calendar works OK there. So this just makes me speed up my conversion.
