The 5.8.0 kernel in MX-19.3-ahs has an it87 module already. So do the antiX kernels going back to at least the 4.9.235 kernel in antiX-19.3. Would these suffice?

You can also change the kernel directly on a live system using live-remaster and live-kernel-updater. These tools have easy to use CLI versions so you can change kernels even if you can't get to X.
