webcamoid brings up my camera on t430.

I don't use it much with that but it lets me know it's working.
Works with Zoom.

The defaults are usually a good option.
Calculate checksums if you like to be sure the iso hasn't changed or been changed in the future.

In Synaptic, enter mind in the quick filter box.
Brings up several mind mapping & associated tools.
I have used vym.

Just a comment that may be apropos of this issue. I tried to create a live USB on a stick that had a previous MX version on it. All went well until the install started, then it reported that not enough space available. There was an error message about being "over 900f" or some such, which ...

I love the fact that even though I change the background,
I can always see the Wildflower identification at boot & login.
It is reassuring that I haven't broken it yet. :)
