Re: avconv is deprecated; need newer version?

Just for your information, I find I'm using Flashpeak SlimJet more and more
for downloading files. It works fine and is possible to download audio only if desired.

youtube-dl for the difficult ones.

Re: avconv is deprecated; need newer version?

Ok, thanks.
It generally works, but either video or audio.
I use the following scripts:
yta = youtube-dl -c -k -x --youtube-skip-dash-manifest "$@"
and
ytv = youtube-dl -k -c --youtube-skip-dash-manifest "$@"

Worked fine for a while. :)

Update avconv to version 10-0 or newer to fix this. So far, I haven't found ...

Re: MOC Thread

For years, moc (use mocp to start), a console music player had an annoying bug that sometimes after playing for extended periods, my experience overnight, it would stop playing and begin emitting a sound like a buzz. Stop and restart. See https://moc.daper.net/node/692 from over 5 years ago. :) and ...

Re: The Weather

When I moved to Venezuela from Louisiana about 40 years ago, I brought an indoor/outdoor thermometer and a rain gauge. Weather was always a topic of conversation in Louisiana. Nowadays, I only have a thermometer in the kitchen and the rain gauge has long been lost. The major topic concerning the wea...

Re: MOC Thread

Awesome.
Downloading.
Getting late; results in the morning.
Thanks!

64-bit running.
Will see how it looks in the morning.
It used to hang after long usage.

Thanks again.
