Re: polybar installation [Solved]

Thanks @Stevo & @manyroads for this thread and your efforts. I LOVE Polybar; always use it on Openbox installs. This will go great with my Antix Fluxbox installs I hope?!

Re: Access to fat32 partition

... add it to the 4th option field of the fstab entry, comma-separated. so it might look like this example line UUID=XXXX-XXXX /media/blabla vfat defaults,user,uid=1000,gid=1000,fmask=0113,dmask=0002 0 0 :puppy: Works like a charm! I've learned new trick today. Thank you very much, you are always s...

Re: MX is now #3 on DistroWatch over 7 days

I think that people are inherently "stable" in their outlook. A bit of good press about how rock solid MX is and the fact that we still get essential apps kept current; combined with the superb level of support received from the developers and "wam bam thank you maam" you have a hit on your hands. I...

Re: how to make apps ask for sudo passwd instead of root's

....snipped In my case it is just mostly curiosity, but I think maybe a sys admin would appreciate the "sudo way". Not this sys admin! ;) I support a couple of hundred folk on their Linux adventure and one of the biggest problems I have is inexperienced users stuffing things up (file permissions us...

Re: <SOLVED> Logging into Antix forums

I managed to set up the captcha for new registrations, but not show for participants and the spam is very low. No need for spam hunters (at least for now). Also, this post spurred me to look closer at the captcha plug-in options we use and set it up better. Everyone's a winner! Everyone's a winner!...

Re: Logging into Antix forums

Much easier, thank you @anti. However, I did not ask the original question with an aim to make your valuable time more harrowed. I have no problem with you setting spam traps in front of the page, I just thought there might be an alternative to the photos that I have a lot of difficulty with? I will...

<SOLVED> Logging into Antix forums

Just been trying to log into Antix forums again and failing. The problem I have is with those poky images for "robot" checking! I am of "aging" years with poor eyesight and, seriously, I can't make out half the detail in those photos. They are too small and unclear. I simply give up out of frustrati...

Re: MX Tools fonts

Not sure if this helps, but,
one of my 1st tasks post-install any gtk based install is to install (if not there already) "qt5ct" and run it to make sure qt apps have the same font/general settings as my gtk theme. Never not worked for me.
