Kodi versions in repository

I've had a look at quite a few topics on Kodi here in the forums in a bid to get an up to date version of Kodi working in MX15. There are numerous references to the testing repository and I enabled this in order to get a more up to date version of Kodi (one that works with some specific addins) on m...

Re: Upgrading error on live system

@philmulley - out of curiosity, what format did you use for the stick when changes weren't being saved? and how much ram did the system in question have? as to the massive update, well, debian stable does do that occasionally. everytime they do a "point release", say from 8.1 to 8.2, etc.... and ye...

Re: Upgrading error on live system

No disrespect intended for all the wise folks who are working on the distro who have my total respect and admiration, its just that I've reached my limit in ...

Re: Upgrading error on live system

Still no luck. After 8 retries I finally got a new live system to boot from the USB stick. I started the live session with the plink cheat set and set about an update. It all started OK and got past the perl failure of last time, but then it started to come up with errors saying there was no space l...

Re: No peristance after many attempts

@tittiger I can appreciate your frustration. Persistence is not the easiest task to learn, but once understood is pretty straightforward. I would encourage you to not give up on Linux in general and MX-15 in particular. There are users here who can and are willing to help. In many cases they are th...

Re: Upgrading error on live system

I'm getting this error. BitJam: you mentioned using the plink cheat to get round this, could you post some instructions on how this is done. I'm assuming its a variable that needs to be loaded at boot time, but I'm using the Live USB and I don't see how to enter this using grub customizer. Thanks i...
