You mentioned you were going to use an SSD: there is a good guide to optimizing debian for an ssd here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfmxnYkHTNU

MX-15 & the iPhone

I've searched the forums, the WIKI and the manual and although there are mentions of working with an iPhone and MX-15 I cannot find an up to date howto on getting MX-15 to share files with an iPhone. I recently set up a friend with MX-15 on a laptop : their windows installation had failed after an a...

Re: MX Flash Manager updates

Pepperflash is from the Google Chrome package, it's staying up to date on my MX-15 64bit install (currently at 21.0.0.242) as long as I keep Chrome updated. Philmulley's post here: http://forum.mepiscommunity.org/viewtopic.php?p=386760#p386760 shows he's running a 32bit MX-15 install. Google stoppe...

Re: Kodi versions in repository

DMO can do bad things. Avidemux and libdvdcss2 can be installed safely from it, though we have a more legal libdvd-package package that'll also get the dvdcss source, build, package, and install it. Kodi 16.1 and Avidemux 2.6.12, among others, are also in a jessie-backports mini-multimedia repo I'v...

Re: Kodi versions in repository

Thanks for your help. I followed dolphinoracle's advice but when I did so the kodi package came up as "broken". I disabled the test repo again and was then able to install version 16.0 from the repos without issues. Not having version 16.1 is no big issue. Is there any easy way to get version 16 on ...

Re: Kodi versions in repository

It seems I'm getting somewhere now. I checked to see if I had the option set as was suggested by Jerry3904 (I did) so I enabled the test repo again and refreshed the cache. In synaptic it still only showed version 15. However, I then tried the same command that Jerry3904 used (apt-cache policy kodi)...
