Thanks for your help. I followed dolphinoracle's advice but when I did so the kodi package came up as "broken". I disabled the test repo again and was then able to install version 16.0 from the repos without issues. Not having version 16.1 is no big issue. Is there any easy way to get version 16 on ...
It seems I'm getting somewhere now. I checked to see if I had the option set as was suggested by Jerry3904 (I did) so I enabled the test repo again and refreshed the cache.
