Re: Request for translations thread

Hello translators, Thanks for all your work keeping the translations up to date! There are a few more updates that have been made recently. You may already have seen some of them on Transifex. Here's a list of the resources that have been affected: gazelle-installer 32 new strings, most short but on...

Re: Request for translations thread

Request #4: gazelle-installer 3 very short strings that won't take too long! Thank you Edit: One more string to translate. You should be able to use your "Suggestions". Note the inclusion of "(MBR)" and change in wording to refer to Partition Boot Record and partition, instead of root and root parti...

Re: Deja Boo

You could go old school and burn an ISO to CD or DVD and boot from that, or use Plop to boot from USB.

Thank you!

Re: Script users

Another way would be to wrap the check in a while do loop. #!/bin/bash echo -n "Do you want to enter a user? (y/N): "; read answer if [ 'x'"$answer" 'xN' ] then exit fi gotvalidnewuser='n' while [ "$gotvalidnewuser" = 'n' ] do echo "Enter the user: " read USER if grep -qi "^$USER:" /etc/passwd then ...

Re: Request for translations thread

Request #2: apt-notifier-policies

The way apt-notifier uses permissions is being updated, resulting in a new resource on Transifex. There are 7 strings, but you will probably find only 4 need translating.

Thank you!

Request for translations thread

Hello translators, Rather than use a separate thread for each request, I will post new requests in this one thread. Hopefully that will reduce the clutter a little. Of course, when special issues come up, feel free to start a new thread. If this approach doesn't prove practical, I will drop it. Requ...

Some new translations required for mx-repo-manager

There are 5 longish strings that have been added to the resource mx-repo-manager on Transifex.

Thank you!

Re: How did Antix and Mempis get together?

Back to the original question - if I remember correctly (a challenge nowadays), when it became clear that there would be no further releases of Mepis from its creator, it was Jerry who put forward the idea of doing something ourselves and rallied the support of long-time members here and on antiX.
