Re: MX 23 KDE question [Solved]
Have you tried an X11 session instead of Wayland ? You can change it using a drop-down in the sddm login screen (bottom-left IIRC, i am currently on MX21)

Re: Plasma 6
And if you are asking about Installing from source, that seems near impossible on MX23/bookworm as it bundles qt5 libraries (not qt6 which plasma6 requires)

Re: Plasma 6
This question was asked recently. MX being based on debian stable this shouldn't become available before roughly 2025H2 when debian 13 "Trixie" will be released, with a better tested and polished plasma 6.x

Re: Can a m.2 nvme ssd be used with this 10 year old pc?
Beware that an older motherboard might only have SATA II ports which would limit throughput to 300 MB/sec which is likely to bottleneck a sata SSD (typically capable of 500MB/s on a SATA III port from what i've seen).

Re: Fresh install but GRUB not recognised
The presence of the '@' sign in your error message makes me suspect a btrfs-related issue, but i have no personal experience with it. Search the forum for similar topics or wait for a more knowledgeable user to chime in.

Re: Examples to make "at" work [Solved]
Does your command actually work from a terminal ? "WiFimodem-Con_name"" looks like such a generic name ... Otherwise you can capture the command output/error to try and see why it failed echo 'mycommand >/tmp/atcmd.log 2>&1' | at 12:34 Then after the specified time check the conte...

Idk about your wifi issue but DISPLAY is only needed for GUI apps, not CLI.

Re: Solved: Dell Optiplex 9020 doesn't show MX in boot options
Ah yes, i should have mentioned that. No idea why but the UEFI option mentions the key brand/model whereas the legacy one remains generic.

Re: Dell Optiplex 9020 doesn't show MX in boot options
I have an optiplex 7010 not 9020 so firmware details may differ, but normally hitting F12 early in the boot (on the Dell logo) will bring you a list of bootable devices. The installation USB key should appear *both* under legacy and UEFI options, pick the legacy one and re-install from there. Toward...
