Re: MX 17 Repository: The VLC Thread

VLC 3.0 reinstalled and set to use xvideo. I still get some breaking-up of the video, although not as much. MP4 files seem to be worse than .flv or .vdi but it's difficult to be sure - it's often 2-3 minutes before the first glitch and I can't spend all day watching. I also tried a couple of the oth...

Re: MX 17 Repository: The VLC Thread

Installed fine using MXPI but it brings back my problem with audio & video files breaking up. I will revert to 2.2.8-2.

Re: FalconHeavy boosters

And although the simultaneous landing of the two boosters is impressive, the central booster missed the drone landing barge. Good job, really - it landed a bit faster than planned.

The car is headed for the asteroid belt, rather than the planned Mars orbit.

Re: Sticky left click in ff

I get this, not only in FF but everywhere. I have found that the pointer has to be still when I click, which is not always true if I'm working quickly.

Re: How to stop trackpad behaving erratically & how to SysD-dummy on AntiX?

Like when I mouse-over a file, it highlights it, I don't like how it does that when I'm not actually clicking on it. That's at least part of the problem for sure. I just want my mouse to behave like it did in Debian. It keeps hitting the back button on my browser while I'm typing too which is very ...

Re: Conky CPU temperature issue

The AMD A-Series processors don't easily give up their temperature secrets. Mine claims 8C for the CPU and 9C for the GPU whatever I use in the OS. Only the hardware info in the BIOS gives a realistic value.

Re: How to share thunderbird profile

Is the profile 2ghgu54z.default the new default profile created by Thunderbird in MX-17, or your Windows Thunderbird profile? If it is the new default, you can ignore it. By default, your Windows Thunderbird profile will be on the C: drive, ie on the Windows system partition. This is not a good loca...
