Re: Can someone check my luckyBackup HOME backup ideas, please

As JayM says, it's quite straightforward. Here's my exclusion list for my data partition backup:

Re: Default conky on MX-19 Beta 1

London. System clock set to display 24hr. I never use 12hr. I will reinstall (for the 7th time) tomorrow morning and check everything carefully but I don't expect to find a difference.

Re: Default conky on MX-19 Beta 1

@fehlix - The conky as installed does not display the time format defined by my locale, or that selected on installation, which is 24-hour. All other displays of time are 24-hour, except the conky.

Re: Default conky on MX-19 Beta 1

Conky appears fine on my display. Something odd happens when I adjust the time to 24-hour. First, when I edit the widget it appears to have 24-hour selected but 12-hour is displayed. Conky orig.png Then, if I click Apply to set 24-hour, it does that but also changes the style and layout. Compare: Co...

Re: MX-19 Beta 1 Feedback

Beta runs fine live on laptop and desktop. Installation to laptop (Thinkpad X220) clean and most things I use regularly work as expected. I have the same problem with installation to the desktop as I had with a4. On the first installer screen, there's a popup request for root password to mount sda2....

Re: Problem with pdfshuffler

I haven't had the particular problem but I have had a number of similar problems with pdfshuffler. I use it probably 30 times a week, mainly compiling multiple pdf files into one, with various deletions and shuffles. I have a persistent error with files I receive from one Mac user - a multi-page pdf...

Re: Whisker menu

@Dullwi - I don't think you can do anything about the space at the top but the space at the bottom is because of the position of the Whisker menu button in the panel. If you move it to the bottom (the default position) the opened menu will sit on the bottom of the screen.

Re: Do you have 32bit packages on your system?

Interesting. My desktop, fully updated from the original MX-18 and with many additional packages, shows no 32-bit packages. My laptop, fully updated from MX-18.3, shows the same list as Jerry.

Re: Using my MX live USB on windows to transfer file

I have had problems recently in accessing a data USB stick from Win10 laptops. When it was plugged in, Win10 offered to format it - that was the only choice. I took it to my local computer repair shop and asked him to check it. The problem turned out to be the 2 partitions on the stick - 16MB ext4 &...
