Re: Package request: MultiSystem thread

I rather doubt it will support most Liveboot features. It copies the iso files to the flash drive and boots from the iso files directly. Unless I'm missing something, that means booting from a read-only filesystem. Good for installing to hard drive or non-persistent Live sessions but I don't see how...

Re: Dutch repo issue: The repository does no longer have a Release file

It was working last night, and it's working now.
Don't know what caused the glitch.

Re: Package request: MultiSystem thread

A gtkdialog package update should show up the next time the mirror you use updates. After installing it I was able to use Multisystem to create a bootable thumbdrive. So to recap, the Multisystem deb found at http://liveusb.info/multisystem/depot/dists/all/main/binary-amd64/m/multisystem_1.0429_all....

Re: Package request: MultiSystem thread

I've built a working gtkdialog on 64bit. I'll build the 32bit and update the Main repo.
It's not a package in debian and the only MX application that depends on it, apt-notifier, works just fine with the minor change.

Re: VirtualBox: Can you connect a VM online when the host is offline?

I haven't actually done this, but I think it's possible. Blacklist the driver for a USB wifi adapter in the host. Add the filter for the USB adapter in the VM usb settings. Bring the adapter up in the VM. Update - I just accomplished this. I have a wifi adapter that won't work in MX-15. MK-15 host, ...

Re: software request

It was something else. You cannot run multisystem as root, or as the normal user is set up in MX. The user has to be in the adm group for Multisystem to run which is not default for MX, but as MX is configured there's no reason not to do it. So use the User Manager in MX-Tools to add your user to th...

Re: software request

I installed it, but it doesn't run correctly on MX.I haven't had a chance to dig into the code to find out why, but since it supposedly runs on debian it may very well have to do with the developer assuming that systemd is running - which is not the case on MX.

No.

Re: MX-17/18 Test Repository - The Smartmontools thread

So install xterm - it's small and doesn't hijack anything. :uhhuh:

Yeah, I need to add it to the Depends:
