Re: libmpc-dev: unmet dependency

The likeliest reason for this is that you, at some point, installed a package from the MX Test repository - either libmpc3 directly or another package that pulled libmpc3 in as a dependency. Since libmpc-dev must be exactly the same version as libmpc3 you are getting this error. Install libmpc-dev f...

Re: Pinta makes Problems by INstallation on MX18.3

First you need to find out which packages you installed from that repo. If you don't have aptitude installed, install it. Running aptitude search "?origin (mono-project) ?installed" will give you a list of the packages you need to revert. Copy & paste these into a text editor and edit the list so it...

Re: Pinta makes Problems by INstallation on MX18.3

Active apt repos in: /etc/apt/sources.list.d/mono-official-stable.list 1: deb https://download.mono-project.com/repo/ubuntu stable-bionic main Mixing Ubuntu repos with Debian ones often leads to this kind of dependency issue. You apparently have replaced some of Debian's Mono packages with Ubuntu B...

Because I usually hear variations of this question from users of Ubuntu/Mint I'll remind you that MX is not based on Ubuntu. Adding Ubuntu PPAs can cause dependency problems when used on a non-Ubuntu based distro like MX. Of...

Re: Archiver not working

I've had something similar happen when there isn't enough free space on the disk to create the archive.

Re: One of those days...

I thought that, while still pretty physical, it was actually a cleaner game than the semi-finals. The early (deserved) yellow card for spikes to the leg when the ball was half a meter away seemed to rein in the worst of the shoving from both sides.

Re: Recommendable SIP VoIP providers?

I switched to Callcentric from Callwithus.com a few years ago. They have been very reliable through my call adapter. Callcentric responds to queries made on the Contact Us tab on the website through a trouble ticket system which does send email notification with a link for each update. Callwithus.co...

Haven't had one to try but there is a youtube video showing debian on one. If it can run Debian/XP/Vista it should handle MX.
