Re: MX-18_January_x64 ISO issues

I do lots of installs to help users here and on FB. I have had problem 1 on a 'proper' install once since final, so it's going to be tricky to find.

In case it happens again, are then any log files you want me to save?

Re: MX-18_January_x64 ISO issues

Just to make certain there was no problem with the ISO, I downloaded it and did a test install successfully.

Re: MX-18_January_x64 ISO issues

Are you absolutely sure the first time you didn't accidentally switch to the other workspace?

I know It's caught me out a couple of times.

Re: Can I install MX Linux from an SD Card?

It depends on what bus the card reader connects to. If it's the USB bus (rare) it will work. Otherwise, doubtful. I've only ever come across one laptop it worked on - a DELL Inspiron Mini10.

Re: Mozilla to Disable Flash in Firefox 69 [News]

I have a Windows application for creating web-sites that I paid for; I only use it to show family photos. It uses Flash to create the slide show. :frown:

I ran the script on 32 bit EeePC without problems.
Thanks; I used the ISO.

Re: MX18 Continuum (Minimal) Release

I did a quick test live, and nothing unexpected happened.

I did wonder whether it would have been more appropriate to do this with the 32-bit version, so users could install lighter applications such as Abiword, SMPlayer, etc. on minimal hardware.

The problem is he can't get to the desktop so the quick info tool will not be available to him. Though for others it's a great tool.
I was hopeful that his system was bootable from live as the information displayed related to encryption.

Just a guess, but it's possible that the encryption hadn't completed
when he interrupted/ended the process, and then rebooted.
It does take quite a time; I almost aborted early when testing it.

Note that code tags are automatically added when Quick System Info is used. So you just need to paste from the clipboard the result in a post.
Thanks Rich; I knew that was mentioned during development, but wasn't aware it had made the final cut!
