Re: Restoring my USB drive

I've come across this problem a couple of times, though with other Linux distributions. After following pretty much the same journey that you have taken, I eventually found a piece of Windows software that would recover drives that were impossible to format by normal means. It is available here: htt...

Re: REQUEST ... Adjustment to Installer for foreign Keyboards

Hello, welcome to the forum.

As you are intending to help other users become familiar with MX, may I respectfully suggest you have a read of the manual?

You would have found how to set the default keyboard and language prior to installing there in section 2.

Re: Laptop Freezes

Have you tried my suggestion of having the temperatures shown in the panel, so you can get some actual figures of temperatures under load?

Re: Laptop Freezes

Judging by the temperatures you have posted, overheating is not the problem.

If you want to be able to monitor temperatures as you work, you could install the 'sensors' plug-in to the panel.

Re: Detailed Wifi List

Thanks; I knew nmcli existed, but didn't know about the wifi list option. That's potentially useful.

I've copied and pasted the text to our Facebook page. Links and text features do not survive, but it's better than nothing. Chris When it gets to the Blog I will repost to Facebook. Links and formatting should be preserved with a Blog link. Thanks Rich; when I see that I'll delete my FB post. Chris
