Wouldn't it be easier to buy an internal SSD?

I am trying to see the advantage of converting an external to be internal :)
Those cables are often used with laptops, to enable the HDD to be clones to the SSD.

Re: Not booting on External HDD

Are you connecting the external HDD to a USB 2.0 or a USB 3.0 port?

Re: Who is using SSD's?

I wonder how MX would run off an SD card if I installed it to that, but also don't know how big a card the reader supports. Would it boot from an SD card reader? I have only come across one machine of perhaps a dozen that will, and that was because the reader was connected to the USB bus of the mac...

Yes, indeed. In the UK, 2.5 hours might only get you 30 or 40 miles at peak times around cities! Chris Trust me.. that works the same way here too. That is why we use highways when we need to go distances ;) Are you in the Netherlands Eadwine? I remember having a fun time trying to find my way out ...

Re: leaving Google Mac business Internet

Linux is inherently safer than commercial operating systems. Various add-ons for the default browser are available, enhancing privacy. I use uBlock Origin, and Disconnect. Free email services are available; how 'protected' they are is anyone's guess, and it depends what type of protection you are wa...

Has it been possible to make any progress on this please? A Facebook user is asking exactly the same question.

I bet that sounds funny to our American (and not only) friends.

Re: Friend decided to install mxlinux

That's the sort of user we really need to be trying MX. It would be great if she were able to give any feedback on her experience.
