Are you writing the iso to a USB stick?

It is not made writing the iso to the usb. You need to make that iso somewhere else.. harddrive, then use live usb maker to create the bootable usb with that usb stick you have.

We haven't heard from the OP yet, so I suggest we wait. Nothing is going on here just yet that gives reason TO close it.

Left-click on the volume button, audio mixer. You can set output devices there. Or Menu Pulseaudio Volume Control, starts the same thing. Of course this is in Xfce, you need to share your QSI. Simple scan is preinstalled on MX23, known as Document Scanner. (or am I remembering that wrong and going senile, could happen ).

Have you tried a different keyboard?
