Simple scan is preinstalled on MX23, known as Document Scanner. (or am I remembering that wrong and going senile, could happen ).

Have you tried a different keyboard?

Will it have a completely new, 'simpler' start menu and widgets?

You DO know that you can change all that to your liking, right?
