Well, since it's a fairly new install, I'd probably just backup data and reinstall. I know that's the whimpy way out but when this sort of problem starts it could be software, hardware, cables or cosmic rays. :) Reinstalling gets me more acquainted with the installer which sometimes helps avoid prob...

This might be a good time to post the Quick Info from the menu.just run it, then open a post and Right Click to paste the info already formatted.

DC seems anything but slow to me, but your experience is out of the ordinary.

Probably need to ask the gurus at OpenOffice. It would be handy, indeed. I've always made a backup of /home/<your_user>/.config/libreoffice/4/* before installing is best, and then copy it into the new install, immediately after installing the new or different version, which brings over all your dict...
