Re: Errores ISO x64 agosto-2018

Suena como el ISO no esta completo? o dañada?
Y el md5 se verificó bien?

Alguien más ha probado el de MX-17.1_August.iso?

Anyone else tried the August ISO?

Re: Translation of items on the antiX menu

@Zeh, yes, you're right. The underscore does preceed the shortcut letter.

Re: Can anyone recommend to me a cheapish, current model notebook that loves Linux?

I don't have the power draw figures but the refurbished Lenovo Thinkpads, are, I believe, a good option. They are reasonably cheap on line for what you get. My present T430-2017, was about $385 about 6 months ago on Amazon with the small 128 GB SSD. It is an order of magnitude faster than anything I...

Re: Translation of items on the antiX menu

If you translate the menu entries with underscores and leave the underscores, the shortcut key may change, for example: F_iles // F is the shortcut key F_icheros // F is still the shortcut key B_ookmarks // B is the shortcut key F_avoritas // F is the shortcut key, and if you left F_icheros in the s...

Re: MX17 - KDE?

I do enjoy the 64 bit with => 4 GiB RAM,
but the 32 bit, 1 GiB RAM netbooks are easier to carry around.
They are adequate on MX with a couple or 3 apps open: FF, LibO & Thunar;
although, admittedly slower than the 64 bit.
A 2 GiB RAM, 32 bit netbook is much better, so I hear.

Re: MX17 - KDE?

And with so many major distros dropping support for 32 bit, I imagine it will continue. In Venezuela, most of the computer stores have gone broke, no few new equipment. WinXP is still strong with Win7 close behind and some Win8. (just MHO) Many try to run Win10 on old hardware and it fails to please...

Re: MX17 - KDE?

My principal Manjaro complaint was killing the 32 bit release.
I like to run the same version on all hardware I install.
Kinda lost interest when I heard they would drop it.
Still lots of 32 bit boxes around here.

Re: Vote

@Gordon,
Wonder if it resets every week?
Surely not. Distrowatch doesn't.
So, the votes keep accumulating.
If one is still using and recommending MX, then go back weekly to add another vote.
It is another angle on page hits; perhaps more useful, but still easy to game the system.
