Re: Dedo reviews Xfce apps

I'll try Midori on YouTube this evening. The version 0.7.x is much improved over version 0.5.x in the MX repo. Imagine there are still things to do but it reminds me of the beginning of Firefox when it was called Phoenix and was a fraction of the size of Firefox today. Using cellphone Hotspot via An...

Re: Dedo reviews Xfce apps

Trying out Midori 7 from MXPI.
It is quick.
Probably for my resource challenged internet connection.
Just need to figure out where all the tweaks are.

Re: Reliability tool for Linux?

Check this out for more info: https://www.eurovps.com/blog/important-linux-log-files-you-must-be-monitoring/ There is an app called logwatch that purports to do something similar. Not near computer to see if it is in the repo, but you can check with Synaptic. If that fails, there is a section for re...

Re: Scrollbar problem in LibreOffice 6.2.0.3

@Paul,
Yes, same scroll behavior on 64bit.

Actually, I miss the pop-up page numbers while scrolling. The click behavior is ok for me.
I usually just use the mouse wheel.

Re: Scrollbar problem in LibreOffice 6.2.0.3

I got mine from LibreOffice download page.

It also used to show page numbers when moving the scrollbar. Imagine that some features got removed in the rewriting.

Time to visit the LibO Bug Tracker to see if it is possible to change the scroll behavior.

Re: Compton freezes MX completely

cp /usr/share/mx-tweak/compton.conf ~/.config

No.
, Don't do that!
You will remove all other configs.
You need this:

Code: Select all

cp /usr/share/mx-tweak/compton.conf ~/.config/compton.conf
Well on second thought it might work, but incomplete statements always make me nervous.

Re: choosing right linux

Whats the general opinion on mx tweak use intel driver instead of modsetting driver. Should this be checked only if experiencing problems? I have Intel chip, had no problem but checked it anyway. Really didn't try to measure but my system is fast and stable. It's easy to change if you experience a ...
