Re: Another Permission denied

Curious.
I never see all that when using bootlace or bootlace64 to write grub4dos to the USB,
as root.

Re: What is MX Workbench 19.3?

It is a utility tool for running from USB to repair and or fix another installation.

For installation, use the MX Linux 18.1 release,
or preferred, the MX Linux 18.1 monthly snapshot,
http://mxrepo.com/snapshots/MX-18.1_March_x64.iso.
There is also one for 32 bit in the Monthly Snapshots.

Re: Package request: MultiSystem thread

Yeah, there have been some changes, for the better, with tighter code.

I'll review my procedure to see if I can make it clearer.

Re: Package request: MultiSystem thread

On the USB, create a new partition table with gparted, then create and format partions as fat32. Remove, replace the USB. Run bootlace64 from it's directory from where you unpacked it. Sounds as if you are doing something different. I'll think it over and write a script. Something is strange. Probab...

Re: select text from pdf

In Qpdfview,
Ctrl-c brings up a '+' crosshair
use that to draw a box around the text of interest
when you stop a dialog pops up that asks if you want text or image?

Decide and then you can paste that text or image.
Use it everyday.

Re: Package request: MultiSystem thread

Thanks for the experiment with MultiSystem.

It taught me that Easy2Boot does what I need in providing a place to store multiple ISOs for trial and install with much less hassle.

And that MultiSystem works on Ubuntu and derivatives which I don't expect to need.
