Re: kernel options

Here's what I have:

Code: Select all

$ uname -r
4.16.0-041600rc1-generic

I got my 4.16 kernel from here: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/ma ... v4.16-rc1/.

I don't try to install the headers or build any modules though.

Re: Conky CPU temperature issue

The sensors command was giving this on my machine $ sensors radeon-pci-0008 Adapter: PCI adapter temp1: +64.0°C (crit = +120.0°C, hyst = +90.0°C) k10temp-pci-00c3 Adapter: PCI adapter temp1: +64.1°C (high = +70.0°C) (crit = +100.0°C, hyst = +99.0°C) fam15h_power-pci-00c4 Adapter: PCI adapter power1:...

Re: Conky CPU temperature issue

That gives me the PCI adapter temp. I have an AMD as well: AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 635 Processor From what I can tell the k10temp PCI adapter temp is the same thing as CPU temp for AMD processors. Does the sensors command include "CPU Temperature" in it's output on your system? It doesn't on...

Re: Conky CPU temperature issue

No. If I type sensors in terminal "CPU Temperature" is not present so nothing to grep. By the way I have an AMD cpu. amdgpu-pci-0008 Adapter: PCI adapter temp1: +7.0°C (crit = +120.0°C, hyst = +90.0°C) k10temp-pci-00c3 Adapter: PCI adapter temp1: +7.1°C (high = +70.0°C) (crit = +80.0°C, h...

Re: Update intel-microcode?

I have an intel-microcode update available, but I've seen some headlines that indicate that Intel's updates are causing problems. Is this a safe update? I had a intel-microcode update today on my MX-16 install, but from what I see in the version name it looks like it's actually rolling back to an e...

Re: disable caps lock key

OK thank you. However the first one from kmathern does not work. Too bad because it seems wicked simple too. That's strange, it works for me. I said earlier "I think it still works" because I hadn't actually tried it yet with MX-17, but I just booted into a MX-17 live-session to try it an...
